    High School students in separate schools begin having the same dream about a past life as human-aliens on a moon base. This begins a frantic search for each other and the mystery of what killed them previously.
  • Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon
    "The" magical girl show. Butchered by DIC in order to make it "appropriate" for American audiences, it has finally been released in an un-cut format. Standard formula (group of young girls with magical powers battle evil) but the characters are engaging and you can't help but be drawn into their lives.

    A party of six are drawn together on a quest to stop an ancient evil from awakening. Man against wizard, dragon against dragon, light against darkness, a must for any Dungeons & Dragons fan.
  • Robot Carnival
    A cool collection of short skits of a variety of anime from sci-fi to fantasy. A good rent at least.
  • Rose of Versailles
    Set in the lavish world of 18th century France, The Rose of Versailles tells the tragic story of the doomed Marie Antoinette -- as seen through the eyes of the captain of the guards -- Lady Oscar.
  • Rurouni Kenshin Trust & Betrayal OVA (Samurai X)
    A cinematic masterpiece that just happens to be animated. Young, idealistic and an amazingly gifted swordsman, when Himura Kenshin joins the fight against the Shogunate, his innocence and humanity are gradually stripped away by the blood and death surrounding him. He becomes known as the Hitokiri Battousai - the most feared assassin of the Ishin Shishi. Until one night he meets a woman who may be his salvation, his damnation, or both.
  • Rurouni Kenshin TV Series
    Ten years after the events in Trust & Betrayal, Kenshin has become a homeless wanderer, a rurouni, and has taken a vow never to kill again. While walking through Tokyo one night, he is accosted by a young woman, Kamiya Kaoru, who is trying to stop the killing spree of someone claiming to be the Battousai. Thus begins the adventures of the Kenshin-gumi. The first few seasons are wonderful; unfortunately, the anime caught up to the manga and the seasons following the Kyoto story arc should be ignored.
  • Serial Experiment Lain
    Lain is a 13-year old girl whose perspective on reality is questioned after receiving e-mail from her classmate who had already committed suicide. Filled with philosophy and deep thought, this "Cyberpunk" thriller was awarded the Prize for Excellence by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs for its reflection of the state of the "wired world."
  • Silent Mobius OAV2
    Set after 2024 AD, Tokyo, the inter-dimensional demons Lucifer Folk, banished from the Earth by the power of the Liqueur family, have been accidentally set loose by a member of that family. To stop them, the government has established the Attack Mystification Police consisting of four women with mysterious pasts and the unwitting successor to the Liqueur bloodline.
  • Slayers
    It is a world of fantasy, where magic reigns and monsters lurk...then there's Lina Inverse! A cute, fireball-throwing sorceress who steals from the wicked and gives to herself! Meanwhile Zelgadis, a powerful soldier pursues Lina in an attempt to recover a magical item that can bring about the end of the world.
  • Sorcerer Stabber Orphen
    Orphen is a mysterious sorcerer with incredible powers who takes a young boy under his wing and begins to train him in the magic arts. A piece of Orphen's past comes back to haunt him, however, with the return of a demon-dragon from the spirit realm, who's after the incredibly powerful sword of Bartou Andelous.
  • Spriggan
    Yu Ominae is a member of the super secret strike force: Spriggan, who are equipped with special battle armor called AM suits that grant the wearer 30 times the power of a normal man. Their mission is to keep the immense power remaining in the ruins of a ancient civilization out of the reach of the U.S. military, who is seeking to use and exploit it for themselves
  • Tenchi Muyo
    When 7 alien females invade the life of young Tenchi Masaki his world is turned upside down as they all vie for his affections. Add a hentai father, a crafty grandfather who may or may not be the lost prince of an alien kingdom, a magic sword, and a mysterious plot and you get one of the most creative and funny animes out there.
  • Tenchi Universe
    The story of first OVA retold with new characters and relationships but still the plot device of several women all in love with Tenchi. After adventures on Earth the story really picks up when the gang must flee to space as wanted criminals.
  • 3x3 Eyes OAV
    Pai is the last of a magical race of 3-eyed creatures, who comes looking for high-school student Yakumo with news of his father's death and the desire to become human. Their journey to make Pai human becomes complicated with dark forces seeking to stop them, especially when Pai's crueler nature emerges.
  • Trigun
    Rurouni Kenshin Old West style. Vash the Stampede is the most wanted man alive with an astronomical bounty on his head and innumerable destroyed towns in his wake. Yet the real Vash preaches non-violence and tries to help, not destroy. Hounded by bounty hunters and insurance agents, what tragic secrets does Vash's past hold?

    In a land where vampires, ghosts, werewolves and other monsters are real, humans are the natural enemies of these Darkstalkers.   • Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
    Now, with the new wave of vampire hunters, the vampire lords have all but been killed off. When a young woman is seemingly kidnapped by one of the last vampire lords, her family hires hunters to rescue her, including D. What follows is an exciting chase through a web of danger and manipulation.

She watches the gateway along with her companion, Larva, for stray Shinma that may have entered our world. Supernatural investigator Himiku becomes involved as she begins to investigate vampire attacks that take place around Miyu
  • Vampire Princess Miyu the series
    Once again, Japan is under attack by the Shinma. Together, Miyu and her companion Larva, solve horrific mysteries and battle the invading Shinma using their spiritual powers of flame and flight.
  • Vandread
    Life sucks for Hibiki - he's stuck in a dead end job, teased mercilessly by his co-workers, and is stalled in his dream of mecha ownership. When he gets fed up and tries to steal a mecha one day, he is thrust into the middle of a space battle and an adventure that will change his life forever.
  • Weiss Kreuz
    Florists by day, assassins by night, the four men of the White Cross hunt down those who are above the law while dealing with the traumas of their own pasts. Sure the series has a low production value and a simplistic plot, but with great characters and some of the best seiyuu ever, who cares?!
  • Whispers of the Heart
    Shizuku Tsukishima, who dreams of becoming a writer, goes into an antique store in the countryside one day and meets the storeowner's grandson, Seiji. Inspired by Seiji's dedication to his goals, Shizuku also aims to write her first novel - learning that it takes determination, as well as time, patience, and endurance to develop and achieve one's dreams.
  • Yohkohama Shopping Log
    In a post-apocalyptic Japan, a robot named Alpha owns a café. A long time ago, her owner left her to travel across the country. Alpha wonders, daily, how her owner is doing, what she's seen, where she's been. One day, a messenger arrives at the door with a package - it's a log of her owner's travels.
